Cynthia Anne Shayes (nee Wade), 72, passed away on February 13, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on April 8, 1952, in Barberton, Ohio, Cynthia built a life defined by dedication and kindness. She worked for 37 years at Bridgestone/Firestone Tires before continuing her career with Ryder Systems, contracted through Johnson Controls in Norman, Oklahoma, where she worked for an additional 13 years. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her profession left a lasting impression on those she worked with. Cynthia was known for her loving and caring nature. She would do anything for anybody and was always ready to lend a helping hand. A true "get up and go" person, she embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. She cherished her family, friends, and the many pets she cared for over the years. In her free time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and listening to Sports Animal 98.1 on the radio. She is survived by her daughter Kelly Shayes and Kelly's boyfriend Jimi Tosh, as well as her sister-in-law Vicky Wade. Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Terry Shayes, her brother James Wade, and her parents William Theodore Wade and Anna Geraldine Wade (Webster). Cynthia's warmth and generosity touched many lives. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
