Alfred E. "Al" was born on June 28, 1928, in Altus, AR, to Robert & Margaret Pike. He passed away on February 24, 2011, at the age of 82 at his home in Piedmont, OK. He was a longtime member of Epiphany Catholic Church. He enjoyed fixing things, raising animals and making a dollar. He was the owner & operator of car washes for his entire life including Pike's Car Wash on NW 39th & Meridian, OKC. After retiring from the car wash, he went to work at the Okla. State Health Dept. along with his son, Mike, and close friend, Roger Pirrong. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Tom, Robert, & Charles Pike, 3 sisters, Margaret Plugge, Betty Martin and Louise Lynn. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy, of Piedmont, OK; sister Ramona Flanagan (Gene) of Guthrie, OK; 4 daughters, Ann Wilson (Rick) West Frankfort, IL; Terri Wilson of Eustis, FL; Sheri Proctor (Mike) Hinton, OK; and Willa Ross (Tom) Piedmont, OK; and 1 son Mike (Betty) Pike, Piedmont, OK. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Matt Capshaw, Libby Proctor, Amy Townsend, Stephanie Luke, Heather Ross, Justin Ross, T. Aira Crisp, Joanna Wyant, Tawny Leech & Jimmy Pike; and 15 great-grandchildren, Austin, Matthew, Trey, Ryan, Kane, Rylee, Raygan, David, Jasper, Jensen, Emery, Dylan, Cohben, Amber & Taylor; along with numerous nieces and nephews and his friend and caregiver, Tommy Sampson. The rosary will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 10:00 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church.
