Alice Westlake, 93, died Tuesday June 21, 2016 at home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in New Jersey to William and Martha Jones and attended New York University. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1956 with her husband Ted and their three children. While in Atlanta she worked for C&S National Bank for many years. She became an expert in the newly emerging technology of computronic accounting. After moving to Tupelo in 1969, Alice continued her banking career with the Bank of Mississippi, retiring in 1985. She remained in Tupelo until she relocated to Oklahoma City in June 2014 to be close to her family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tupelo and enjoyed all the activities the church and Tupelo had to offer.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband T. N. Westlake, Jr. (Ted) in 1982 and her beloved sister Althea Jones in 2014. Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Pinyan (Sandy) of Smyrna, Georgia and Faye Sullivan (Joseph) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one son Ted Westlake, III of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two granddaughters, Kelli Price (Donnie) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Shannon Mrosko (Tim) of Levittown, Pennsylvania; five great-grandsons, Chase Price, Mason Price, Cooper Price, and Jaxon Price of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Max Mrosko of Levittown, Pennsylvania; and one great-granddaughter, Lucy Mrosko of Levittown, Pennsylvania.
Visitation will be at the Lee Memorial Acres Chapel on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 9:00 AM followed by services at 10:00 AM.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the First Presbyterian Church of Tupelo, Mississippi.
