“Amy Cheri’ Deason Green, born on January 8, 1969, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Mervin and Nancy Deason, passed away on October 2, 2024, after a courageous battle with multiple health issues. Amy faced many challenges in recent years, overcoming them with resilience and determination. She made significant strides for her health, and in the process, found renewed joy in life. Those close to her were proud of her strength and spirit.
Amy grew up on the Grandview Shorthorn Ranch in the Fort Cobb/Oney area. She began her education in Oney before moving to Oklahoma City, where she attended several schools, including Yukon. She eventually graduated from high school in Edmond, Oklahoma.
She married Phillip Green, and together they had two beloved sons, Phillip and Brock. Amy deeply cherished her family, especially her grandson, Oliver “Ollie” Kosechequetah, who brought immense joy into her life. Family was at the core of who Amy was, and she was adored by all of them. Her spark, mischievous nature, and ability to light up any room with her bright eyes will be missed by many.
In her later years, Amy found joy in her creative side, spending time crocheting, crafting, and painting. She took pride in her handmade creations and loved sharing her work with loved ones. Her sweet, whimsical spirit shone through in the bunnies she crocheted and the pictures she painted.
Amy is survived by her husband, Charles Pritchett; her mother, Nancy Gail Chesser of Aubrey, Texas; her father, Mervin Deason of Yukon, Oklahoma; her sons, Phillip and Brock Kosechequetah of Elgin, Oklahoma; and her grandson, Oliver “Ollie” Kosechequetah of Medicine Park, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her sister, Amber Renee Heintz of Prosper, Texas, and her brother, Clayton Thomas Chesser (Jennifer) of McKinney, Texas, as well as her nieces Lily and Kate Chesser, and her nephews Gavin Heintz, Eli Heintz, and Jack Chesser.
Additionally, Amy leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will forever treasure her memory, including her Aunt Lynnette Maples (John Maples), Uncle Ed Hendrix (Connie Jo), Uncle David Deason (Barbara), Aunt Jackie McComas (Mike), and cousins Brian Deason, Kenny Deason, Krista Graff, Amanda McComas, Jennifer Page, Shelly Pollack, Mindy Maples, Jordan Maples, Noelle Brewer, Shayla Robertson, and Zack Hendrix.
Amy now joins in Heaven her twin sisters, Kerri and Kendra Deason, her beloved grandparents Mary V. and I.E. Hendrix, and Maye and Jack Deason, her Uncle Jim Tom Hendrix, her cousin Caleb Hendrix, her bonus mom Sue Deason, and her cousin Ryan McComas.
Amy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her light, love, and creativity will continue to shine through the lives she touched.”
