Angelica Maria Freimann December 16, 1970 - September 12, 2022

Angelica Maria Freimann, age 51, was born on December 16, 1970, to Charles and Christina Freimann. She grew up in Chicago, IL and attended Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Middle School until 1983, when her father (and family) were transferred to Oklahoma City. After arriving in Oklahoma, she attended Hefner Middle School, then Putnam City North High School. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing in 1996, then a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in 2002.

Angelica’s education helped her excel at leadership and management positions with Dell, Johnsons Control and most recently, Humana Insurance. She thoroughly enjoyed working for these companies and with the people she met, many of whom became lifelong friends. Angelica was a natural born leader and enjoyed organizing team activities, particularly to perform charity work. Unlike most, Angelica not only donated to various charitable causes, she incorporated her love of helping others into various volunteer activities for her and her coworkers. Each year, Angelica would recruit a team of volunteers to participate in various volunteer activities on the day of the annual OKC Memorial Marathon. Whether it was registering participants, handing out snacks and water to runners, or serving as the cheer section, encouraging runners to finish the race, she did it all. For many years she also served as a board member for the annual OKC Christmas Connection Gala. She spent the entire year gathering donations to be auctioned off during the annual gala, in order to raise money to buy presents for children in need. This cause was near and dear to her heart, as she looked forward to it every year.

Anyone who knew Angelica, knew that she was very close to her family. They meant everything to her, and she meant everything to them. The person closest to Angelica was her mother and best friend, Christina. People often refer to them as one person, because you never saw one without the other. It was always, “Angelica and Christina”, because they were never apart. They lived together her entire life and did everything together. Angelica took pride in taking great care of Christina and always made sure she wanted for nothing and knew that she was loved. Angelica also loved her big brother, whom she called “Charlie”. They were close as siblings, but also friends.  Angelica welcomed her sister-in-law, Randi, into the family with open arms and loved her niece and nephew as if they were her own. She was the fun aunt, who took them everywhere as children. They would spend many weekends going to do fun stuff the city has to offer, like going to the zoo, balloon festivals, on boat rides on the OK canals, baseball games in Bricktown and the annual Cowboy Hall of Fame Statehood festival. If there was a festival for kids, Angelica knew about it and made sure she took the kids to experience all of it. She also never missed a school play, an awards ceremony or a birthday. She was the best aunt, anyone could wish for. In recent years, Angelica found her partner, Heath Kelley, who lived with her and Christina the past few years. Heath loved Angelica dearly and served as her confidant during difficult times. They loved going to Civic Center plays and wine club events with Christina. The family would like to give a special thanks to him for all that he’s done to help them thru this.

Angelica was an active member of the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church of OKC since 1983. She was strong in her faith and we know she is at peace in heaven with her Heavenly Father. Angelica is preceded in death by her father, Charles Freimann II and her grandmother, Reyna Lopez. She is survived by her loving family: mother, Christina Freimann; brother, Charles “Charlie” Freimann; sister-in-law, Randi Freimann; niece, Brittany Freimann; nephew, Brandon Freimann; partner, Heath Kelley and their dog, Chico; plus many extended aunts, cousins, and her brother’s in-law’s, who thought of her as family and will miss her dearly.

Angelica was loved by everyone who knew her. We will always remember her beautiful and bright smile, her positive attitude, optimistic outlook on life, and her love for family and friends. We know that we will see her again in heaven, but until then, we will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N.
