Anita Erna Bohanan June 16, 1943 - September 9, 2016

Anita Erna Bohanan was born in Frankfurt, Germany. She left this world in good spirits on September 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, aunt, and loving husband George. She is survived by son, Ray and wife Teresa Bohanan of Bethany, Mike and wife Sonja Bohanan of Oklahoma City, Otis and Tracy Viney of Norman; grandchildren, Anitajane and Scott, Michael, Hunter, Natalie, Joey, Drake and Savanna; great – grandchildren, Raylee and Georgia, and numerous other nieces, nephews, friends and others who loved her very much.

Anita was Oma to everyone she met. She loved spending her days with her family, cooking wonderful German food, swimming, and watching QVC, NCIS and Animal Hospital. She could tell a story about her boys growing up that would captivate you into listening for hours. If you ask the grandkids about what they remember about Oma's house, they would say Oma's soup. She always had it ready when she knew we were coming. Trips out to Tinker Air Force Base would always include a trip to the BX to eat Popeyes Chicken, the question "Is there anything you need?", and a friendly reminder to make sure you watch your speed. She was employed at Hilldale Elementary as a cafeteria lady. She loved each and every one of the 800 plus children she served.

Oma will be missed by everyone she met. Ich liebe dich mein schatz! Mit all unserer Liebe wieder sehen Sie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 9-9 at Buchanan Funeral Service. Services to celebrate her life will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service.
