Bert’s creative beauty in the world will fill many people with the incredible joy he felt for life. “My work,” he once said, “is like the Oklahoma wind, ever changing, growing and finding new directions. This is what keeps my life and, hopefully, my art interesting. I love to paint, and it shows.” The beauty that marked his life no less than his work is indeed as persistent as the wind. It remains with us still. Long live the beauty that he gave to each and all.
