Blane Herman Lefebvre, passed away on May 11, 2023. He was born on August 21, 1959 to Joseph and Helga Lefebvre in Wurzberg, Germany. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Patrylo. Blane is survived by his grandchildren, Danica and Jett Martin and Leila, Aria and Mason Foster; his daughters and son-in-laws, Leah Lefebvre Foster and David Foster, Kari Lefebvre and Joseph Martin; siblings, Jeannette and John “Skip” Klein, Bruce and Kathy Lefebvre and Blake Lefebvre.

Blane was passionate about music. He loved to sing and was a self-taught guitarist. He played in a local band called Fragile in his twenties. He continued to share his genre of music over the next two generations by broadcasting his favorites at every family gathering and ensuring grandkids had full access to all of his musical instruments.

Blane loved cooking over an open fire. He hosted traditional Sunday dinners often with his famous ribs and cucumber salad. He enjoyed finding recipes and putting his own spin on them, which is how we all came to know and love Blane’s salsa.

Blane’s loyalty for his career as the Chief Engineer at Oklahoma Tower and his dedication to his work was like no other. Blane took a lot of pride in his profession making sure everyone was taken care of and had what they needed.

Blane truly was a fun person and great company, whether at an OU football game or his favorite new hangout, The Manhattan, there was never a stranger in his presence. His nieces and nephews will always remember him as “Funkle” the Fun Uncle.

Blane was a devoted and proud son, brother, uncle and father. He saved every art piece, Father’s Day card, and concert ticket he ever attended with his daughters. However, his most recent title that he valued was being “Grandpa”. His grandchildren will always have the memories of “Sundays at Grandpa’s” with great food, music and entertainment as we continue his tradition.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Service beginning at 9am until 7pm.  The family will be present from 5pm-7pm.  A memorial service will be Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Service at 1pm.
