Carol Benton June 6, 1968 - August 29, 2014

Carol Benton wins her fight against the world and Glioblastoma by going to walk the streets of gold and basking in the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Passing from this world on August 29th at 2:02pm, Carol was preceded by her father, Robert Davis and survived by her husband Cory Benton and two of the most handsome, intelligent and muscular young men to ever walk the earth, Luke Robert David (Stud) Benton and Davis Corban Michael (Big Daddy) Benton, mother Shirley Davis, brothers Mike Davis and Scott Davis (wife Kathy), sisters Britt Stanley (husband Dale), Cindy Herbst (husband Rick), mother and father in law David and Joanne Benton, sisters in law Terri Weldon (husband Darrel) and Jodi Strum (husband Kevin) and 13 nieces and nephews.

Carol was an amazing mother to Luke and Davis and a phenomenal wife and best friend to Cory. She won state wide competitions in gymnastics, swimming and diving. She was head cheerleader at Piedmont High School, played tennis, softball and basketball. She loved golf, attended girls' state in 1985, graduated high school in 1986 and then attended OSU and CSU. She held numerous philanthropic positions and was a very successful business owner in Olympia and Aberdeen, Washington. Carol knew how to succeed and win and she won again by finishing the race that her Lord and Savior put before her. She is my hero! Her only desire is that others know Jesus.

Carol's Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM, Sept. 6, 2014 Christ's Legacy Church at 11101 N. Morgan Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73099. There will be no viewing of the body prior to the Celebration. Carol loved the colors pink and purple and it would make her very happy to witness a sea of those colors at the Celebration on Saturday. There will be time afterwards to talk with Luke, Davis and Cory and leave them a video message.

In lieu of flowers Cory will be setting up a foundation to benefit children that will be announced on Saturday.
