Charles Wayne Haag April 7, 1956 - March 1, 2025

Charles Wayne Haag, born on April 7, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Clifford “Jim” Haag and Virginia Haag (Keel), passed away peacefully at his home in Hennessey, Oklahoma, on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Charles was a man who loved life, but above all, he loved his family. Known affectionately as the “Lord of the Ribs,” he was a master of the grill and smoker, bringing joy to many with his culinary skills. He cherished outdoor activities and enjoyed watching the Sooners with friends and family. A devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend, Charles spread joy and laughter wherever he went, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his partner of 14 years, Karla Nault; his children Jason Haag and wife Katie, Cody Haag, and Charla Haag and fiancé TJ Harris; his grandchildren Austin, Kenzie, Teagan, and Asher; and his siblings Ronald Haag (Dorothy), Charlene Thomason (Willis – Deceased), Patricia McLenny (Rusty), Jana Boeckman, Clarissa Scoggins (Duane), Thomas Haag (Michelle), and Georgene Herrman.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years Rita Haag, his parents Clifford “Jim” and Virginia Haag, his sister Sharon Lane, his brother Clifford Haag, and grandson Hudson Haag.
We will strive to fill the hole in our hearts with the many beautiful memories we shared with Charles. His legacy of love, laughter, and joy will live on in all of us.
Funeral services for Charles will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
