Chase Alan Barker, of Piedmont, Oklahoma passed from this life unexpectedly Thursday, March 30, 2023. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. He is in the presence of the Lord and celebrating with his family and friends that have preceded him.
He was born to Jay ad Darlene Barker August 13, 1986 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He grew up in Piedmont, Oklahoma and attended Gethsemane Lutheran School and Piedmont Schools. He was an avid basketball player on the high school team.
Chase was a simple guy and the little things in life made him happy. A stain on his T-shirt or a hole in his pants didn’t bother him. Animals were his best friends and any stray cat or dog needed to come home with him.
He loved the outdoors, whether it was a beautiful sunset, hunting in the woods, or fishing in a pond. Hunting was his biggest passion! He looked forward to hunting with his dad every year. The pictures he posted with a deer he had shot were his proudest moments that brought out his biggest smiles.
Chase was a big dreamer, excited about new ideas he wanted to try all the time! He was ever discouraged by what others thought about his dreams! His latest ambition was to build a house on the land he had bought at Lake Tenkiller.
Chase held many titles in his short time here; Son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend. But, Father was his favorite title. Whether it was watching one of Lilly’s gymnastics meets or playing basketball with her, out on the ball field or hunting with Levi, watching movies or coloring or cuddling with Lexi, or spending the afternoon playing video games or singing with Carter, Chase always did his best to be there for all his children.
Chase is survived by his best friend Justine; kids, Levi, Lexi, Carter and Lilly Woolery; mother and father, Jay and Darlene; brother River and his kids, River Jr, Kinsley, and Crew; sister Skylar; brother Brad; and brother Tagg and his daughters, Tamera and Jennifer.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132. A funeral service will be held the next day on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Piedmont, 15 Jackson Ave NW, Piedmont, OK 73078.
