David Walter Clawson August 27, 1954 - December 30, 2024

David Clawson, age 70, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024.

David was born on August 27, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Herman and Opha Clawson. A proud fan of college football, he loved cheering for both the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys. Whether it was game day or an everyday moment, his humor and quick wit had a way of brightening any room.

David found strength and comfort in his faith, spending much of his time reading the Bible and watching pastors on TV. He was not only inspired by their messages but also shared his own through his calling as a pastor, touching countless lives with his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the Word of God.

He is survived by his two sons, Steven Clawson and his wife JoEllen, and Scott Clawson and his wife Tiffany. His four grandchildren, Chase and his wife Michele, Eli, Landon, and Tate Clawson.

David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Herman and Opha Clawson, and his sister, Donna Clawson.

David will be remembered for his humor, unwavering faith, and love. His ability to make others laugh, his passion for ministry, and his love for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation for David will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the same location with burial following at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162.
