Dianne Michelle StJohn April 9, 1958 - January 8, 2016

Dianne Michelle "Mickey" St. John departed this world on January 8, 2016 and entered joyfully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mickey was born in Ponca City on April 9, 1958. After attending public school in Ponca City, she attended OSU where she met her husband Daniel St. John. They were married for 32 years and made Yukon their home, raising three children before her departure.

Mickey loved orchestral music. She represented her high school playing the violin at all-state orchestra. She also played the violin in the Oklahoma City Community Orchestra as well as her church orchestra. For fun, each May she participated in the Muskogee Renaissance Festival as a fiddle player. Home-schooling her children for several years, she instilled in them this love of music also by having them learn to play the violin, viola, and cello.

Mickey enjoyed creating family vacation memories. She would brainstorm over ways to do this, and excelled in planning camping excursions on a budget for the family.

She enjoyed learning and working on new craft hobbies. Among these hobbies were leatherwork, bulk cooking, soap making, and beadwork. She would often give as birthday and Christmas gifts the crafts she made. One hobby, machine knitting, was also her home-based business for several years. Through this business she enjoyed designing and creating sweaters, Christmas stockings, and hats.

For most of the last two years, Mickey's life attitude was an inspiration to family and friends as she battled the brain cancer that ultimately claimed her life. Through the highs and lows of the progression of her illness, her unwavering desire was to glorify the Lord.

Mickey was preceded in death by her mother Helen Ivie. She leaves behind her husband Daniel; their sons Matthew and Mark; their daughter Danielle and granddaughter Evangeline along with son-in-law Jeremy; her father George Ivie; her brothers Michael and Stephen; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Covenant
