Donald Ray Jones, age 85, passed away on August 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on 14th February 1939 in Bakersfield, CA, to Paris and Frankie Jones. Donald, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was a man whose life was shaped by his unwavering faith and the love for his family. Known for his hard work, dedication, and resilience, Donald started as a farmer before establishing D & M Landscaping which he passionately led for 55 years. His spirit, strength, and determination were an inspiration to all who knew him. An avid fan of OU Football and Nascar Racing, Donald also found joy in the simple pleasure of playing his harmonica, a testament to his love for life’s simple pleasures.

Donald is survived by his children, Marie (Chris) Courtney, Donnie (Susan) Jones, and Derek (Donna) Jones. He leaves behind a legacy in his grandchildren; Jimmy Garner, Christopher (Jen) Courtney, Kayla (Tyler) Coats, Dylan (Erika) Jones, Haley Jones, Abby (Kolyn) Hill, Bryan (Tristen) Garner, Joseph Sublett, Corey Jones and Brittani Conaster, and his great-grandchildren; Cash, Brody, Kambria, Trenity, Domanick, Merriella, Braylon, Jakob, Audrina, Mackennan, and Rowdy. Donald rejoins his beloved wife Margie Jones, who he married in 1959, his daughter, Millie (Steve – deceased) Garner, and his parents Paris and Frankie Jones, in eternal rest. Visitation will be held from 1 – 8 PM, Monday, August 12, 2024 at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73132. The family will be present from 6 – 8 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Buchanan Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
