Edward Lee Wells May 15, 1935 - September 14, 2021

Edward Lee Wells, age 86, passed from this life on September 14, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Ok. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m., Friday, September 24, at Buchanan Funeral Service, Oklahoma City with Tim Lewis officiating. Viewing and visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. before the funeral. Burial will be Monday in the Marlow Cemetery.

Edward was born May 15, 1935 to Bob and Myrtle Wells in Winfield, Kansas He married Betty Jo Chapman on January 8, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. They were married for 30 years.

Ed had many talents; leather tooling, playing music on banjo and mandolin, he loved to make violins for his granddaughter, avid golfer, basketball referee, church deacon, and a great father. He loved to travel, loved sports, loved fishing, and hunting. Ed was retired   from Chevron Oil Co, also worked for Texaco for many years. He worked for Embassy Suites Hotel, Tulsa, Ok for 5 years.

Ed was a member of North MacArthur Church of Christ, Oklahoma City

Ed is survived by his son, Russell Wells and fiancée, Kay Hawkins, Okc, Ok Kevin Wells and fiancée, Michelle Webb, Edmond, Ok, Cristi Marie and husband, Todd Thompson of Denison, Tx, ex-wife and caregiver, Betty Wells of Okc, Ok Grandchildren: Candice Goodner, fiancé Riley Clampitt of Edmond, Ok, Abby Williams and husband Kelly Williams of Edmond, Ok, Austin Darrow of Driggs, Idaho, Emma Keller of Edmond, Ok, Jillian Lowry of Charlotte, NC, Blair Wells of Oklahoma City, Rusty Wells and wife Mary of Oklahoma City, Hannah Wells of Apache, Ok, Bailey Littlejohn of Hurst, Tx, Zoe Dranguet of Colleyville, Tx, Judson Dranguet of Colleyville, Tx Great Grandchildren: Kylie Williams, Caden Lowry, Maddox Lowry, Ava Benson, Arthur Benson, Paige Wells, Russell Tyler Wells Jr, Emmie Wells, Brother, Norman Wells of Kerrville, Tx, and many nieces and nephews.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Myrtle Wells, daughter, Cathy Keller: sisters, Betty Davis and Mildred Jenkins, and sister-in-law, Juanita Wells
