Ella Mae Vanhoutean-Isaacs June 19, 1925 - August 2, 2018

Ella Mae Vanhoutean-Isaacs departed from this life on

August 2, 2018 following a brief illness.  She was a resident of Cookson, Ok.

Services will be 10 AM, Monday, August 6, 2018 at Mobley-Groesbeck, Sand Springs, OK and she will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs.

Ella Mae was born to John Wesley and Marie Vanhoutean on June 19, 1925 at home in Sand Springs.  She attended Sand Springs High School.

She was married for 56 years to her High School sweetheart, Edwin Isaacs until his death.  She later resided with her daughter, Brenda.

Ella Mae was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She always wanted to be included in her family’s activities.  She shared with them her Christian values. Her love for them was unconditional. 

Ella Mae was an avid quilter until just before her death.  She loved to read books, do word searches and Words with Friends on her iPad.

As a loving memorial to Ella Mae, we will be displaying some of the quilts she has made for her family and friends over the years.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Because of her Christian life, we know she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents John Wesley and Marie Vanhoutean;  her husband, Edwin Isaacs;  sisters, Irene Crawford and Alamedia Koch and   brothers, Doyle and Gary Vanhoutean.

She is survived by her daughters Carliss Ann Isaacs-Hargrove, husband Frank of Sand Springs, OK.  And Brenda Jill Isaacs-Wright, husband Ronnie of Cookson, OK; grandchildren, Heidi Brossette and special friend, Jason Sperry of Broken Arrow, OK, Amanda Tardiff, husband, John of Warr Acres, OK,Robert Jacobs, wife, Molly of Yukon, OK; Great grandchildren, Haley Sibert and fiancée Stefan Meador of Houghton, LA, Jason Sibert, Jr, wife Charley of Shreveport, LA, Caleb and Jacob Brossette, Shreveport, LA, Landon and Keagan Tardiff of Warr Acres, OK, Jude Jacobs of Yukon, OK; Great great-grandchild, Tucker Patterson of Haughton, LA; Numerous nieces and nephews and many “special” friends she considered family.
