Emmitt H., 75, went to be with his heavenly father on October 13, 2011. He was born to Jim and Ida Powers in Sentinel, OK on January 28, 1936. He married Joe Ann McAfee on September 2, 1956. He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, 8 brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie and husband Bill Creed; sons, Joe Powers and wife Joan, Emmitt Powers and wife Jaquita; 13 grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren; son-n-law Alvin Roper ; sister-n-law, Dot Powers. A service to celebrate his life will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Bethany Church of Christ. He will be buried beside his wife in Port Cemetery, Port, OK at 2:30 PM.
