Ewart Gregory Pringle July 10, 1948 - March 3, 2015

Ewart Gregory Pringle, 66, of Edmond, OK transitioned from this life on March 3, 2015, after battling brain cancer with his family by his side at the Hospice House.

Greg was born July 10, 1948, to Ewart Wilson and Mary Kay Adams Pringle. He was born and raised in Wooster, OH and attended college at the Ohio University before transferring to the College of Wooster where he received his degree in History. He was a founding member of Harambee Fraternity and also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Greg's work history was extensive. From Kodak, to the Urban League where he aspired to impact and improve the human condition, to his present position as the Civil RIghts Adminstrator for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation where he thought he could affect positive change to the system.

Greg was well traveled and loved to drive. He had no problem geting in his car to travel across country. He was an avid sports fan and loyal and particularly passionate about the Cleveland Browns.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, charismatic personality, compassion for humanity and his wicked sense of humor. His laugh was one when once heard was unforgettable. Greg was a man of intellect who was always learning. His ancestry was very important to him because he believed one should know their history, "Because to know where you've been is to know where you're going.". He had a genuine interest in children and wanted the youth to do well and be successful in life.

Greg's faith was his foundation. His belief in God resonated when he shared with others that we are all connected and there should be unity and love; there is a oneness in spite of our differences.

Greg is survived by his wife, Evelyn; 2 daughters, Taylor and Averey Pringle; mother Mary Kay Pringle; sister, Priscilla (Harvey) Rowe; brothers, Mark (Lisa), Darryl (Vanessa), Rev. Craig (Darcie), Rev. Kevin (Beth); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Greg was preceded in death my his father, Ewart Wilson Pringle. He was loved and adored by his family and friends.
