Gary was born in a two room rural cabin in Washington County Kansas. He was born to Guy and Bessie Spradling. Gary lived at home until 1956 when he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and went to work for Western Electric Company. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1958. Gary married Deyauna Faye Eidson on December 2, 1961. He retired from AT&T after 34 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Timothy Spradling. He is survived in death by his wife Deyauna Faye of the home, daughter Mahawta Jo Hargis and husband Johnny of Oklahoma City, son Brian Spradling and wife Lori of Alma, Arkansas, granddaughter Sara Spradling Lucas of Youngsville, North Carolina, and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services to Celebrate Gary’s Life will be held on September 25, 2024 at Buchanan Funeral Service of Oklahoma City. Burial will immediately follow the service at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery of Oklahoma City.
