Gene V., age 74 of OKC, went to his Heavenly home on March 7, 2013. He was born April 8 1938 in OKC, to Sterling and K Marie (Lowell) Reames. Gene was a 3rd generation owner/operator of an Oil Well Servicing Co. He graduated from Duncan High School. He married Della in May 1985. Gene was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and was the Director of the Prison Ministry. He also volunteered at Deaconess Hospital with 1500 plus hours. He is survived by his wife Della; 4 children, Lisa Thompson (Vic), Wendi McKinnon, Chris Reames (Melissa) and Patrick Reames (Julie); a step-daughter, Sheryl Brown (Matt); 9 grandchildren: Steven Reames (Keri), Emily Reames, Mitchell Reames, Douglas Thompson, Allison Reames, Matthew Nelson (Nichole), and Ryan Brown; 4 great-grandchildren and Billie Reames, the mother of his children. Visitation will be Sunday, Noon to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home with services to celebrate his life 2:00pm, Monday, March 11 at Heritage Baptist Church with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
