Glyn Dean was born April 23, 1936, near Sentinel to Josephine (Duncan) and Herschel Miller. He passed away from this life on Friday, September 10, 2021, in Yukon, Ok.
Glyn attended 12 years at Port School, graduating in 1954 where he was active in all sports and Upper Class Boy Scouts.
On September 23, 1955, he married Georgie Lee Wilson. Shortly thereafter he joined the Army and was stationed in Hull, MA.
After an honorable discharge from the service, he and Georgie established a home in Elk City, OK. Glyn working in oil field construction. They later moved to Woodward, OK where Glyn was employed by Shell Oil Company for 30 years before his retirement. Eventually moving to Piedmont, OK for 21 years. Glyn was known for his love of the University of Oklahoma where he and Georgie held season football tickets for years.
Preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Josephine Miller.
Survivors include Georgie Miller of the home. One sister, Herschelene Miller Latham. One niece Aquilla McLemore and husband Bob of Colony, OK. One nephew, Aubrey Latham and wife Martha of Sentinel, OK. He also has several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Mike and Carmen Morgan held a special place in Glyn and Georgies heart, calling him “the son we never had”.
