Gordon Macy Couch, age 84, passed away at his home in Oklahoma City with family by his side on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. He was born on January 15th, 1940, on the island of Manhattan in New York City to Edna Mae Couch. Gordon was a member of Putnam City Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He spent his early years in Oklahoma City with his grandparents and eventually moved to Ft. Supply, Oklahoma with his mother where he graduated High School in 1959. He went on to attend Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee and graduated in 1961 with a degree in electronics. From there he embarked on a very diverse career working for the Goddard Space Flight Center on the Mercury 1 & 2 satellite programs, General Electric in the Engineering Department, owned and operated 2 different service station and garage business’s, a heat and air business, a dry-cleaning operation, and a home repair service. But his passion was cars, he built and owned show cars for almost 50 years and was a fixture in the show car world where he met and made countless friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and survived by his wife, Marti of the home; son, Jeff Couch and wife, Julie; daughter, Carin Christian and husband Russell; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at Putnam City Baptist Church in Oklahoma City under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City.
