In honor of a wonderful life, and in memory of Harbert Briscoe Sr., survived by loving wife, Barbara, children, Keven Sr., Reggie Jr., Kimberly, Kisha, and Harbert Jr., fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1939, migrated to California to become the first Black Police and Bomb/Hazardous Devices Officer in the California Police Department. He coached and mentored for many years, basketball and football, with a background as a semi-pro player and basketball prospect. He was educated at City College of San Francisco and San Jose State University, and a member of Gromek group. He will fondly be remembered as “Harby”.
