Hershel W. (Bill) Vincent went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the age of 76 after a prolonged illness.  Bill was born in Hooker, Oklahoma to Sarah and H. C. Vincent on December 13, 1947. He resided in Hooker where he did well in school and excelled at all sports.  His parents passed away when he was 16 at which time he moved near Bethany, Oklahoma where he resided with cousins Elmer, Selma, and Lynda Witzke who lovingly accepted him.   Bill graduated from Bethany High School before going on to attend Panhandle State University where he continued to play football. Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force serving part of his 4 years in Puerto Rico.  In 1974 he began his career in civil engineering at Tinker Air Force Base and continued there until retirement. While at Tinker he earned his Associate Degree from Rose State College.

Bill was blessed with 2 children from his first marriage, daughter Sara Vincent Spain (deceased) and husband Shan and 1 granddaughter, Kyla Spain, as well as son Brad W. Vincent and 1 grandson, Dane Vincent. Bill and Susan met and became inseparable friends and married on May 3, 2002.  With this marriage he gained 3 sons  – Fred M. Stanley, Jr. (wife Carrie), R. Matthew Stanley (wife Kellie) and John M, Stanley (wife Savanah) 1 grandson and 4 granddaughters. Bill was a faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather!  He loved Jesus first always as well as his church.  He gained great joy watching and hearing about his grandkids playing sports along with his love/hate relationship with OSU.  He loved the Old West and the many travels he and Susan had and loved to tell anyone who would listen about those adventures.

A special thanks to the neighbors and men from his Crossings Community Church group and to Bristol Hospice and especially Nurse Hope and Aide Tina for all their support during his illness.
