Jack Greenwood August 2, 1926 - December 25, 2010

Jack Durelle, age 84, of Oklahoma City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Christmas Day. He was born August 2, 1926 in Wichita, KS to Lloyd Durelle and Wilma Anroe (Rutledge) Greenwood. After graduating from McPherson KS High School, Jack joined the Army and served as a Master Sergeant in the Philippines and Occupied Japan. He married Mollie Molean Shanks and to this marriage was added 8 children. After moving his family to OKC, Jack was an insurance agent for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Gary Lloyd Greenwood, and in 2009, lost Mollie his loving wife of 61 years. He is survived by 5 daughters, Dianne Chitwood (Randy), Jacque Hildebrand (Dean), Beverly Karnes (Morris), Barbara Prince (Randy), Jan Swann (Steve); 3 sons, Kent Greenwood (Sheri), Kirk Greenwood, Kreg Greenwood (Becky); 16 grandchildren, Amanda White (Austin), Emily Chitwood, Jacob Hildebrand (Kristin), Lauren Huang (Adam), Jennifer Brown , Jason Karnes, Kacie Cotta (Nick), Valarie Prince, Barrett Prince (Jeanette), Torrey Prince (Amanda), Kristyn Allison (Jason), Jessica Stephens (Matthew), Evan Greenwood, Taylor Greenwood, Kaleb Greenwood, Becca Greenwood; 10 great-grandchildren, Braden & Mason White, Henry Hildebrand, Tobiah & Durelle Huang, Skyler, Raigen & Conner Brown, Oliver & Audrey Prince; a brother, Lloyd Keith Greenwood (Millie),nephew, Gregg Greenwood (Cindy); niece, Milloy Liebe (George), 3 great nephews, Michael, Kyle, Joshua; and a great niece, Rebecca. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: The Christian Chronicle, PO Box 11000, Oklahoma City, OK 73136-1100. Visitation will be all day Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with family receiving visitors Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM. Services to celebrate his life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, December 31, at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel, Oklahoma City, with Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
