Jim was born in Oklahoma City to James Valentine and Letha Hurst Adams. He attended Central High School, Kemper Military Academy and the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was an MAI commercial real estate appraiser and was highly respected in his field. He married Jeane Lackey on March 23, 1968 and spent forty-five wonderful years together. They loved to travel and have many fond memories of their trips around the world. Jim was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and was a member of the Touch Down Club. He loved golfing and was a member of the Greens Country Club for many years. Jim was an excellent dancer and he and Jeane were member of the Revelers and Mayfair dance clubs. He was a master bridge player and still enjoyed playing on the internet in his later years. He belonged to Christ the King Catholic Church where he served as a greeter. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jane Temple and a grandson, Cole Kunzman. Jim is survived by his wife, Jeane; 4 children, Caroline Adams, John Lackey, Debbie Faulkner and De Ann Kunzman; grandchildren, Jamis Kunzman, Ashley Kerr, Brian Claybaugh, Courtney Coffee, Christopher James Adams and Deming Lackey; 11 great grandchildren. There will be a private family mass at a later date.
