Jane Ellen Reddin nee Vandiver was born on June 11, 1942, in Miami, Oklahoma. She was born to Millard Vandiver, of Arkansas and Mary Nickle, of Missouri. She married John Ancil Reddin on November 1, 1963, at the church of Christ on 36th and Penn in Oklahoma City. They remained married until John’s death in 2007.

Jane’s early years were spent being a stay-at-home mom, raising three children and teaching them about the importance of Jesus. Jane was a master seamstress, making her own curtains, making her son and daughters’ clothes and would be hired to sew for other people. Jane made Stephanie’s wedding dress and all the bridesmaid dresses for both Stephanie and Linda’s weddings.

Jane was heavily involved in PTA and served as a home room mother during the elementary school years of her children. Jane was also a favorite Sunday school teacher, with many of her students calling her “mom”. Once her children were teenagers, Jane began selling Home Interiors products. She was a natural at sales and three times recognized as a National Sales Leader. Later in life, she became a caretaker before retiring to babysit grandchildren when needed.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three children: Steve, Stephanie and her husband Cecil, Linda and her husband William; seven grandchildren: Chase and his wife, Bethany, Emilie and her fiancé Alex, Tanner and his wife, Kelly, Tyler, and his wife Savanna, Katelyn, Austin and Rachel; five great grandchildren: Loretta, Brighton, Eleanor, Colson and Camden; and many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Jane was a faithful Christian, a loving wife, a loving mother, a loving grandmother and loving great grandmother, a servant, soldier, and evangelist for Christ, a mentor, a helper and a caregiver and now is in her place in Heaven at peace and full of joy.
