Janice Lea Leibrock January 9, 1954 - September 30, 2021

Janice Lea Leibrock passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:02am in Oklahoma City, OK.

Janice was born during a snowstorm on January 9, 1954 and the morning she passed, a thunderstorm was raging outside. She was truly a force to be reckoned with.

Janice graduated from Northeast High School in 1972. She married Eddie Leibrock August 1, 1975. She started her career in the medical field in 1979 at the desk of the Deaconess ER. In 1980 she moved up to the Labor and Delivery floor as an assistant, and worked her way up to a scrub tech. She had 3 young children, worked full time, and also balanced nursing school. She graduated from OCCC in 1992 and began her career as a Labor and Delivery RN at Deaconess Hospital. She transitioned to Mercy Hospital and then embraced her love of travel and was a travel nurse from coast to coast before coming back to Mercy Hospital. The multiple decades of her medical career are filled with stories of crazy night shift shenanigans with her friends and coworkers. She was a proud breast cancer survivor. She loved going to hockey games and held season tickets to the OKC Blazers. She also went to many road games all across the country while laughing and telling stories the whole time.

Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was constantly sharing pictures, videos, and stories about her family. She did this so much that her coworkers, who had not even met her family, felt like they knew her family.

Last but not least, Janice’s faith in Jesus was very important to her. She influenced her children in their faith; she was active at church, multiple Bible studies and prayer groups, and traveled to many Christian conferences all over the country. With confidence we can say that she is with Jesus.

Janice is survived by her son Paul Leibrock and wife Jennie, her daughter Marjorie Wright and husband Abraham, her daughter Ann Leibrock, her 5 grandchildren: Trinity, Bailey, Tatum, Sydney, and Isaac, her sister Carol Peake and husband Duane, her cousin Marty Anderson and wife Penny, and numerous nephews, nieces, and beloved family members.

Services for Janice will be held Tuesday October 5th at 10:00am at Council Road Baptist Church.

Viewing will be Sunday October 3 from 1-8. The family will be there from 2-4.
