Jean Stallings August 11, 1943 - January 17, 2021

Jeannette Stallings, or Jean as she was known by all, went to heaven on January 17, 2021. She was 77 years old. Jean was born August 11, 1943 to William “Bill” and Maxine Dewey in Cairo, Illinois. She married her partner in life, Sherman Stallings, November 23, 1961 and they spent over 59 years together.

Jean was a devoted mother and wife and was the center of the family. She taught her daughters how to make family and God an integral part of their lives. She was an active member of Bethany First Nazarene Church for over 40 years. She volunteered with VBS, at various nursing homes around Oklahoma City and was a volunteer at the ROC helping under privileged families. Jean was loved by all who ever met her. She always had a smile and a helping hand for anyone.

Jean was a banker for over 27 years and retired as Vice President of BancFirst. She enjoyed visiting her clients and helping them with all their needs. She had a very caring way with anyone and was as sweet as the goodies she was always baking for someone.

Jean loved gardening and her flowers. She used to say flowers were jewelry for a house and every house needed jewelry. She loved playing cards with her friends and watching football and basketball games. She enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with her husband and friends.

Jean was a bright shining light with pretty blue eyes and a never ending smile. She was the center of her husband’s universe and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Sam. She is survived by her husband, Sherman of Oklahoma City, Sherri Moore of Oklahoma City and Lisa Coffin of Minnesota.

Visitation will be today, January 21, 2021 from 1-8 pm with family receiving guests from 6-8 pm. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Bethany First Nazarene Church Atrium on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm, with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
