Jewell James Lynch, beloved wife and mother, died Monday, September 28, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie. Jewell is survived by her daughter, Kathleen McCorkell and partner Lynn Mallory of Albuquerque, NM; son Kevin Lynch of Arlington, TX; and sister, Elizabeth Krance and husband Tom of OKC. Jewell was born in Emporia, KS and graduated from Phillips University in Enid, OK. Jewell and Bernie owned and operated the San Geronimo Inn in Taos, NM in the early 1970's. After returning to OK, Jewell worked as a disability Examiner, joined the OKC Indian Art Club and served as a docent at the Red Earth Indian Center. She was a member of the OK Horsemen's Association. Jewell was a patron of the arts, loved learning and especially history and was a caretaker of the natural world. Memorial contributions may be made to Nature Conservancy or Salvation Army. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel.
