Jodie Denise Potter of Lexington, OK went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022. She passed due to COVID complications.
Jodie was born October 15, 1971, in Oklahoma City to Valton Potter and Sherry Sutton.
She attended Yukon High school and OCCC where she earned an accounting degree.
She was an entrepreneur and a hard worker. She managed a Family Dollar, worked as a CMA, was a member and youth director for the YBA, built a successful furniture store, Affordable Furniture in Oklahoma City. Recently she started a jewelry and craft store, BJ’s Rustic Shop.
Jodie was always involved in activities with her daughters. She attended ball games, band concerts, served in the Band Booster club in Lexington, and was a proud color guard mom.
Jodie had a many hobbies but her favorite one was shopping!
Family was very important to her. She was a caretaker of so many, she volunteered her time to care for her loved ones like her grandpa, dad and stepdad. She was such a caring person, always ready to help everyone with two legs or four legs.
She was a ray of light and a great example to all that knew her. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Her laughter, smile and positive attitude always lit up a room. She had a way of making everyone feel like they were extra special. She will be missed by many.
Jodie was preceded in death by her father, Valton Potter, stepdad Jim Sutton, grandfather Joe Wilson, grandmother Eloise Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Endecott, daughters Brittany Endecott, Cortnee (Lane) Cline, , mother Sherry Sutton, brother Jay Potter, sister Jennifer Doyon, uncle Larry Wilson, nieces Alison Doyon, Lauren Doyon, Chelsie Doyon, Devon Potter, aunt Melinda Fleming, Joseph Findley, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, stebrothers Charles (Shauna) Sutton, Andy (Susan) Sutton, stepsister Janet (Michael) France and step-brother John (Jody) Gooden.
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 9th at Buchanan Funeral Service chapel 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City. The family would like anyone planning on attending to know that masks will be mandatory for the service.
