Joe Walter Duarte January 31, 1947 - July 30, 2019

Joseph, “Joe”, “Butch”, “Buck”, Walter Duarte; Mr. MWA, hugged His Lord and Savior Tuesday July 30, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Joe was born January 31, 1947 in Albany, CA to Joseph Francis and Phyllis Mae (Dringman) Duarte. Both of whom proceeded him in death. He attended Richmond High where he met the love of his life. He married his beloved Cecelia 52 years ago. They had a daughter, Juliann and husband Mike Barnes and a son, Dennis and wife Kristy Duarte. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He then graduated from preaching school to preach the Word of God, was a Shepard of His flock and helped people see their value and worth both in life and in death. He was an insurance salesman for 25 years and loved to help people. He would give you the shirt off his back along with a joke and if you knew him; you know he made Jesus smile. His pride and joy came from grandchildren; Ashley and husband Brian Yoder, Alexis and husband Rob Fox, Brandon Duarte and Derrik Duarte. He loved his family. Surviving siblings are oldest brother Chuck Duarte, sister Dorothy Duarte, and youngest brother Tony Duarte. His celebration of life is 3:00 pm Saturday August 3, 2019 at the North Garland Church of Christ in Enid, Oklahoma. Memorials can be made to Lariat Creek Christian Camp through North Garland.
