John was born in OKC to Leonard and Lena (Twyman) Lyne . He was a fire fighter for OKC Fire department retiring as Captain after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; daughter, Paula; brother, Don and sister, Norma. He is survived by 2 sons, Gerald Lyne and Philip Lyne and wife Michelle; brother, Twyman Lyne and wife Sharon; 4 grandchildren, Savannah, Carson, Macormick and Dirk; nieces and nephews, Debbie, Chris, Cindy, Mike, Clifta and David. Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2018 from 1-8 pm. Services to celebrate his life will be 10 am, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
