John was born in Slick, OK to John O. and Nora (Dixon) Langford. He was an avid golfer who was a member of the PGA for 66 years. He enjoyed playing bridge, loved his dogs, and loved his family even more. He is survived by his wife Karen; children, Charlene Warren, John Langford, Cathryn Roberts, Larry Langford, Charles Baker, Dianna Sadler, Dr. Tracy Langford; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
