Juanita Kathleen Hastie was born on January 2, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas, and passed away on August 11, 2024, in Oklahoma City.
Raised in Bayard and Omaha, NE, and Los Angeles, CA, Juanita enjoyed a rich and varied childhood that shaped her adventurous spirit and warm heart. She graduated from Centennial High School and went on to attend Seminole Jr. College.
Juanita’s career was marked by dedication and versatility. She began her professional journey with Pacific Telephone Co. (AT&T) before moving on to Globe Life Insurance, where she served as an Executive Secretary. Her later years included a role as a massage receptionist at Central Beauty Academy, reflecting her diverse interests and commitment to helping others.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Hastie, her mother Theresa Breshers, her stepfather Joe Breshers, her brother Paul Vera, her father Innocente Vera, and her first husband Ronald Enriquez.
She is survived by her daughter Andrea Enriquez, her son Nick Stump and his wife Melanie, and her grandsons Dylan and Gabriel Stump. Also surviving are her sister Theresa Vasquez and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Juanita’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
