Kenneth Tyler Lampert, known as K.T., 33, joined our Lord's Heavenly choir onFriday, June 27, 2014. Born on December 2, 1980, he grew up in Lubbock, Texas, but was a resident of Oklahoma City for the last 11 years. K.T. went to Lubbock Christian School. He worked for Whole Foods Market and so enjoyed getting to meet and help guests every day. He never met a stranger and had a heart as big as the universe. K.T. was full of love, compassion, kindness and generosity, always putting others before himself. He was a member of First Baptist Church Edmond, and he loved being a member of the choir. An avid sports fan, he loved football and basketball, and had a passion for coaching. His favorite teams were Texas Tech and the Oklahoma City Thunder. His survivors include his mother, Lou Davis Lampert, his sister and brother-in-law Wayne and Amber Lampert Downing, nephew and niece Corbyn and Avery Whittall, his grandmother Mary Davis, and the love of his life Ann Gassen. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for K.T. on July 3, 2014 at 11 am, at First Baptist Church Edmond, on the corner of 33rd and Bryant. There will be a celebration of his life immediately following in the fellowship hall at the church until 3 pm. K.T. always said he didn't want something sad, but a party to celebrate his life, where "everyone is talking about me." Instead of flowers, the family asks that you make donations in K.T. Lampert's name to Lubbock Christian School (2604 Dover Ave., Lubbock, Texas 79407) or High Plains Children's Home in Amarillo, Texas (hpch.org/how-to-help-ways-to-help).
