LaJune Sutherland died peacefully at home on December 19th, 2023 at the age of 83 years. Loving wife to Leon Sutherland of 64 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Robbye Finch. She is survived by brother Larry Finch and Lynda, and sister Brenda Williams; her children: Kayla Pursley and Mike, Eric Sutherland and Terri Hillsbery; 8 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She was dedicated to Eastern Star and her church, Cashion Christian Church, as well as many more family and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM – 8:00PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N. Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Funeral Services to be held at Cashion Christian Church, 511 ES Stoner Blvd, Cashion, OK 73016 on Friday December 22, 2023 at 2pm with graveside services at Cashion Cemetery afterwards.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM - 8:00PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N. Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Cashion Christian Church, 511 E S Stoner Blvd. Cashion, OK 73016. Interment will follow at Cashion Cemetery.

I did not know of June’s death until tonight, January 3, 2024.
I met her on a Church trip in 2017 not too long after my mother died. She was so kind and gracious to me. I was quickly encouraged by her caring heart that expressed genuine concern for me in my grief.
I know she must have been a blessing to all who knew her.
