Laura Elsie Ritchey Kersey November 14, 1944 - June 8, 2024

Laura E. Kersey dies on June 8, 2024; she passed quietly in her sleep in her room at The Grand at Bethany Skilled Nursing Center. She was born on November 14, 1944, in Oklahoma City and was the only child of George and Jannette Ritchey. She attended Lee Elementary and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1962. She earned a B.A. in piano pedagogy at Oklahoma City University and a Masters Degree in Library of Science at the University of Oklahoma. Laura was a life-long member of MENSA. On May 29, 1969, Laura married Donald K. Kersey. They were married 33 years until his passing on January 4, 2003. Laura taught private piano lessons, was a librarian at the Dallas Public Library, and worked at Bank of America. She was a resident of the Heritage Assisted Living Center in Yukon, OK for 12 years. She will be missed by her dear friends.
