Martin Lynwood Poinsett November 25, 1960 - October 13, 2024

Martin Lynwood Poinsett, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family
on October 13, 2024. The adopted son of the late Lynwood and Joyce Poinsett, Lyn
was born November 25, 1960.
Successful in all his endeavors, Lyn lived a wonderful life. Always a hard worker, Lyn
was constantly striving to grow in every facet of life from his career to his faith. Lyn
spent the bulk of his working years employed by State Farm where he established a
reputation as a very successful and yet very kind and caring businessman.
Beyond his career, Lyn had many hobbies. He enjoyed collecting antiques, working
around the house, and sitting down for breakfast with his friends, but there was no
activity he loved more than cheering on his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks alongside
friends and family.
Lyn was devout in his Christian faith. An unwavering follower of Jesus from a young
age, Lyn served the church well throughout his whole life and encouraged many others
to do the same.
Most of all, Lyn loved his friends and family. Ever the optimist, he looked for the best in
all people. Lyn was gifted with the ability to make friends everywhere he went. Because
of this gift, he will be missed by so many.
Lyn is survived by his wife of 34 years, Daphne; daughter Katy (Aaron); son Cody
(Sarah Catherine); and granddaughters Grace and Amelia.
