Musician, pilot, and accountant Michael McReynolds left a legacy of love and laughter for all whose lives he touched. Michael passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 36, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by people who loved him and will continue to honor his legacy by spreading love, compassion, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Michael was born in Oklahoma City on April 9, 1986. He obtained his pilot’s license at the age of 16 and continued pursuing his love of flying, after cancer grounded him, by becoming an aerial photographer. Michael enjoyed his career as an accountant, even if it put his wife to sleep when he would try to explain it to her.
The simple pleasures of life brought joy to Michael. He had a passionate love affair with HTeaO, any and all food, video games, spending time with friends and family, and their three cats. Michael’s love for the Lord was constant and continuing since he found his way to God in 2009. He was a beloved member of his church, where he was seen on Sundays behind a drum set or helping behind the scenes, sporting a funky bow tie and big smiles for everyone. His good nature and kind heart touched all he met and will leave a forever impact.
He is mourned but celebrated by his loving wife, Summer McReynolds; mother, Karen Koyote; sister, Sarah Sletten; brother, Joshua Beeney; Summer’s grandmother, Wilda Hartley; as well as cousins, nephews, and many, many friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on April 22, 2022, at Paseo Apostolic Church located at 611 Northwest 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73103. Flowers are welcome, but you may also donate in Michael’s honor to the United Pentecostal Church Intl. Global Missions fund or the American Cancer Society.
