With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Monty Carl Allison, a loving father and cherished member of his community. Monty passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 75.

Monty was born on August 3, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Claude Allison and Antonina Alagona. A proud graduate of Capitol Hill High School (Class of 1967), Monty went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from Central State University (Class of 1972).

Monty began his professional journey as a history teacher before joining his mother and father in the roofing business at Barnhull-Allen Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc.  He later transitioned into a successful 35-year career as a pharmaceutical sales representative and dedicated manager for Block Drug, Inc and other pharmaceutical companies. He excelled in these roles with strengths in leadership and collaboration. He was well respected, a stalwart mentor to many colleagues, and received countless accolades for sales results and business strategy.

Never quite satisfied with sitting still, as a retiree, Monty stayed active as a pharmaceutical sales recruiter and auditor, always dedicated to his craft.
You could also find him tinkering with guns and ammunition, soaking in nightly sunsets on his patio with an occasional cigar, as well as riding along the winding Oklahoma roads enjoying the type of freedom only a motorcycle provides.

In his earlier years, Monty enjoyed playing in a softball league and hunting. Later, he became an avid golfer, a sport he stayed close to throughout his life. He was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and being a patient listener. He cherished his daughters and grandchildren and found joy in sharing his life’s stories, wisdom, and love with them. Monty was a deeply beloved father and friend, and he loved the Lord. His passing was sudden and unexpected, but just as he had always hoped- it was quick and in stride with the way he lived his life.

Monty was preceded to heaven by his parents, Claude and Antonina Allison, and special friend, Joyce Ann Green. Monty is survived by his former wife, Linda Allison; daughters Monica Rowell (husband Daylon) and Jenni Allison; and four grandchildren, Austin, Walker, Kennedy, and Tucker.
