Norma Jean Spradlin was reunited with her husband of over 60 years, Harold Spradlin, Saturday, September 2, 2017. Norma was 87 (almost 90 as she liked to say). Born April 9, 1930, to Roy and Evelyn Schenk, Norma, along with her brothers Don and Ed, were raised in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Norma graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and married Harold in 1951. Harold and Norma raised three daughters in Oklahoma City- Sandy Fairchild, Stacy Stewart, and Rebekah Whittaker. She was also mother to sons-in-law Don Fairchild, Mike Stewart, and Greg Whittaker. She was grandmother to Wyatt Fairchild, Ryan and Racheal Stewart, Shane and Kelsy Fairchild, John Stewart, and Sam and Gabby Whittaker. She was great-grandmother to Emmett Fairchild. She was an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and an adoptive grand-mother to many, including Kyle Weaver and Colton Cammack. Norma Jean was giving, loving, kind, and fiercely loyal. She was a perpetual caregiver with a true servant’s heart. She is greatly loved and adored by her family. She will be missed everyday by the ones who were blessed to call her Mom, Mamaw, Nana, and Sisero. She is finally happily united with her one and only true love. A very special thank you to all of the amazing doctors and nurses at Oklahoma Heart Hospital North and Dr. Wade McCoy and his staff at Gilbert Medical Clinic. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6 at the Funeral Home from 1–8 PM with the family receiving guests from 5-7 PM. Services to celebrate her life will be Thursday, September 7 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service with a Graveside service at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.
