Perry Bennett October 15, 1929 - August 10, 2012

Perry Lee, age 82 of OKC, died August 10, 2012. He was born October 15, 1929 in OKC to H. P. and Goldie Peterson Bennett. He graduated from Classen High School in 1947. Perry retired as a superintendent from Lippert Brothers Construction in 1994. He was a dedicated Scout leader, little league coach, involved in Campfire, Rainbow, and Christmas in April. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maryellen Anderson Bennett in 1989; 2 brothers, Robert Bennett & Glenn Eugene Bennett; and a son-in-law, Jeff McMurray. Perry is survived by his wife, Lynn Fraser Bennett of the home; children: Perry Lee Bennett Jr. (Donna), Philip Bennett (Darla), Cynthia Ann (Bennett) Paradis (Dave), Michael Fraser Ybarra (Teri), Michelle Fraser McMurray, Peter Byron Ybarra (Anita), Marcia Juanita Dahl (Arden), Richard Basil Ybarra (LaDeana), and Pilar Felicia Ybarra; Brother, Russell Bennett (Linda); Sister, Joan Longest (Robert); 27 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and other family and friends. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts Troop 84, 6813 Lancer Lane, OKC, OK 73132 or St. Jude's Hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday 9:00am – 8:30 pm with the family present to receive visitors from 6-8PM. Services to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 15th at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
