Oklahoma City with Interment to follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.

On May 25, 2024, Rex Lee Dye passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side.He was born on Feb. 24, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Ray and Gertrude Dye. Also preceding him in death was his big sister, Barabara Ann Stone.
At the age of 33, Rex was reunited with and married his high school sweetheart, Sandi Alexander Dye who will miss him dearly. Rex’s passing came just 2 days after celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. He will also be missed by his daughter Judi Whitton and her husband, Keith; grandchildren Drew (and Becca) Whitton, Sara (and Blake) Jordan, and Maci (and Alex) Hickman; great grandchildren, Tate, Charlotte, and Jett Jordan, and William and Chloe Hickman, all of Edmond, OK. He also leaves behind his son, Jim Kimble; grandson Michael Kimble, his daughter Harper, and granddaughter Maggie Kimble, her daughter Jonah Smith; and daughter in law, Denise Kimble, all of St. Louis, Mo.
Rex was a devout member of the Church of Christ, having given his life to Christ at a young age and passing that legacy on to his family.
After spending 4 years in the US Air Force, Rex spent the majority of his work years as a biomedical technician working at various companies such as McDonald Douglas and Pfizer and finishing his career at the VA Hospital in St. Louis. After retiring, he and Sandi moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where they lived out their last 21 years together.
