It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Richard Henry Eubanks, known to all who loved him as Richie, at the age of 43. Richie was born on March 10, 1981, in Buffalo, Oklahoma, and after spending part of his childhood in Woodward, OK, and Rock Springs, WY, he found his home in Edmond and Oklahoma City, where he lived with his family.
Richie’s life was marked by his deep love for his family and friends. He was an incredible son, brother, father, and friend who will be forever remembered as a hero by those who knew him best. Richie worked tirelessly in many fields including the oilfield, pipeline construction, pipeline inspection, and most recently worked in commercial and residential construction, but it was his caring nature and dedication to others that truly set him apart.
Though not married, Richie shared a beautiful and loving partnership with Ashley Morton, who sadly passed away just one day before him. Together, they created a life full of memories and shared a love that transcended time.
Richie leaves behind his beloved children: Daven, Kalifornia, Sayler, and Richard “Peanut” Eubanks Jr. His legacy of love and strength will live on through them. He is also survived by his mother, Peggy Eubanks, who adored him unconditionally, and his brother, Tracy, along with his sister-in-law, Lainie, and their two children, Holden and Leighton. His sister Sarai, with her children Ari and Max, and his sister Susan, along with her husband Michael, will carry Richie in their hearts forever. Richie’s love extended to his stepdaughters Riley Morton, Lydia Lenz, and Sophia Lenz, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Richard Eubanks, and his beloved significant other, Ashley Morton. He is also reunited in heaven with his step-son Oliver Brumley, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Richie’s family finds comfort knowing that his loving spirit will forever remain with them, as they hold on to the countless memories they shared. His warmth, laughter, and boundless kindness will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Richie’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 2:00 pm at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N. Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
