Richard Lynn “Rick” Knight May 2, 1953 - February 22, 2024

Richard Lynn “Rick” Knight, 70, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on February 22, 2024. He was born on May 2, 1953, in OKC to Harold and Claudene Knight. Rick graduated from Putnam City school in 1971. He married the love of his life, Kathy Dixon in 1973 at Putnam City Church of Christ. They were happily married for 50 years. Rick enjoyed writing songs, playing the piano, listening to music, watching western movies (John Wayne), OU Football, and spending time with friends and family. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Claudene Knight, and his sister, Donna Knight. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Knight; his children, Cary Knight and wife Stephanie Knight; Ashley Knight Isaac and husband Jason Isaac; his grandchildren, Aubree, Allie, and Aimee Isaac; brother, Jim Knight and wife, Ann Knight; nieces and nephews, Jamie Evans, Gary Knight, Craig Heitzler, Randy Heitzler, Michael Dixon, Eric Dixon, Jason Dixon, Jeremy Moore, and Jennifer Dixon.

A come-and-go reception will be held for Rick from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
