Rueben O. Ruiz was born October 11, 1933 in Crystal Springs, KS and went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 4, 2011 in OKC. He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Ruiz; one daughter-in-law, Laurie Ruiz; two brothers, Manuel Ruiz and Elias Ruiz; and two sisters, Martha Esparza and Delia Alaniz. Rueben is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte Ruiz of OKC; three sons Dwane Ruiz and his wife Angela of Houston, TX; Stephen Ruiz and his wife Anita of Edmond, OK; and Craig Ruiz and his wife Joy of OKC. Rueben is also survived by one brother Albino Ruiz and his wife Molly of North Ridge, California and one sister Maria Martinez of El Reno, OK and one sister-in-law Virginia Ruiz of Nardin, OK. Rueben is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. For over 60 years Rueben was a faithful minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and was affectionately known as Brother Ruiz. He was a faithful, loving husband, father, grandfather and a minister who was loved by the members of his family and the congregations he served. The influence of his ministry continues to today. Funeral services for Brother Ruiz will be Monday at 10:00 a.m., in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City, officiated by Rev. Grady Smalling and He will be laid to rest next to his son, Tim, Monday at 4:00 p.m. in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.
