Sara Jane Boeckman May 7, 1951 - June 21, 2024

Sara Jane Boeckman, a beloved member of the Kingfisher community, passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on May 7, 1951, in Oklahoma City, OK, Sara’s life was marked by her dedication to family, law, and her numerous passions.

Sara was the devoted wife of the late Steven E. Boeckman and cherished mother of Kevin Patrick Boeckman and his wife, Ashley Raye Boeckman. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Ann Sandlin Jarrell, Mary Beth Sandlin Price, Jamie Sandlin Hale, and Matelena Sandlin Amore, as well as her brother, Walker P. Sandlin III. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister-in-law, Sheila Boeckman.

A proud alumna of Louisiana State University, Sara graduated with a degree that laid the foundation for her impressive career in law. She furthered her education by earning her law degree from Oklahoma City University. Sara practiced private law in Kingfisher, OK, and served as the City Attorney, contributing significantly to the legal framework of the community she loved.

Sara’s passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid reader and a dedicated member of the Second Sight Book Club. She found joy in completing jigsaw puzzles, cooking, sewing, and various crafts. A true dog lover, Sara’s compassion for animals was evident to all who knew her.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Walker P. Sandlin Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Broderick Sandlin.

Sara Jane Boeckman will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, dedication, and community service will continue to inspire those who knew her.

The family will be having a private celebration of life, there will be no public service.
