Shanan Lee Weeks passed away suddenly and peacefully on November 9, 2023.  She was born on April 3, 1967 to Don and Orpha Wages in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Shanan is survived by her husband of 25 years, Tommy Weeks; his children, Karissa and husband David and Thomas and his wife Cheryl; his grandchildren, Elijah, Emma, Payton, Berkley and Jaxon; sister and her husband, Bob and Lezlie Harding; brother, Kurt Wages; beloved aunt, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and many dear, dear friends.

Shanan earned her Masters degree in Human Relations from The University of Oklahoma.  She went on to work at companies such as Lucent, Wood Group, Williams, Access Midstream, Circor and she was currently a Capital Buyer for OU Medical.  For fun, Shanan loved watching and attending football games (Boomer Sooner and GO Patriots), traveling, loving on her Goldens, and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132.  Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2023, also at Buchanan Funeral Service. Burial will follow at McEwen Cemetery in McEwen, TN.

    Tom,
    My heart hurts knowing you lost your wife.
    The times that I had the opportunity to see you two, she always had a smile when she greeted anyone. Never saw her in anger. Cherish the memories of your time with her. Into gods hands we commence her soul.

    I’m so sorry Shanan left this earth so suddenly. She was a wonderful and friendly woman. I’m so glad she was in my life although just a short time. I will miss her just as everyone whose lives she touched.

    Tommy, we were in shock when we heard about the passing of Shanon. She was a great woman and I remember when she was the best secretary, I ever had working for me. I knew then she was going to move up in the company. Sorry again for all our loss.

    Shanan was such a shining light and so loving. Always having something funny to say and the life of every party. I will definitely miss her presence in my daily life. My condolences to her family, I’m sending prayers.
