Sharon Elizabeth Smith, 83, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. Born on May 12, 1941, in Dos Palos, California, to Elma and Granville Mumby, Sharon was a beloved matriarch whose life was marked by warmth, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family. Known for her loving, dependable, and charitable nature, Sharon was a pillar of strength for those around her. She worked for many years at Hertz, where she was admired for her professionalism and strong work ethic. Sharon was also known for her kindness and generosity, and she had a deep love for animals, which she often expressed through her charitable contributions.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in watching her children and grandchildren grow. Sharon is survived by her beloved daughter, Cynthia Smith, and her cherished grandson, Austin Smith. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Smith, and her daughter, Christina Smith, whom she missed dearly. She is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at Buchanan Funeral Service on Saturday, September 21 at 1:00 PM.
